Marc Copell began studying drums at age nine. He attended SUNY Buffalo
in the late 1970s, where he received a B.A in Music Performance while
studying with Jan Williams and local Be-Bop drummer Louis Marino.
Marc Copell performed with the "Turtle Island" band with Elliott Sharpe; the
Lewiston Artpark Theatre Orchestra and appeared with the Buffalo
Philharmonic. Since then Marc has tours steadily with numerous Blues, Jazz,
Rock, Funk, Pop and World-Beat bands.
Marc Copell established residency in NYC in 1982 where he was mentored by Otis
"Killer Ray" Appleton and the late Vernel Fournier.
Marc Copell is featured in Ron Mesa's self-titled 2000 CD as well as in the
2001 "East River Blues Band" CD. |
